How to pamper your mom

Spending some quality time with your mom at a spa would be a great way to make her feel really special.
Share some great moments together, however, before you walk into a spa, here are some pointers to keep in mind in order to have a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

1.     Talk to friends and professionals for advice on the best spas in town, the ones they commonly visit, their spa experiences etc. Knowing in advance will help you mentally prepare, especially if you are a first timer.

2.    Contact the spa, enquire about the spa treatments offered and fix an appointment well in advance. Read through the brochures and consult the Spa Manager, if necessary, for guidance on what is best for you.

3.     Get a basic package that includes a massage, a facial, manicure and pedicure. You can opt for a more deluxe package that includes additional body and facial treatments if you have the time.

4.    Wear appropriate clothing for the weather, preferably something light and comfortable. As far as possible, remove all jewellery and other valuables for safety. Sandals would be comfortable footwear if you're getting a pedicure.

5.     Drink lots of water and eat a light meal before heading to a spa. Some therapies may take time and you don’t want to feel hungry while at the spa.

6.     Adhere to the timing of appointment and arrive at least 15 minutes early so that you have enough time to change, relax and keep calm. Prepare to be pampered.

7.   Talk to your therapists during the session. Let them know what your expectations are and more importantly, relax during treatments. Your body will respond much better if you relax your muscles.

8.     Finally, get your mom's suggestions also. By involving her, she will feel more special and enjoy the mother daughter spa visit as much as you do.

All the stressed and bored mothers out there, come and experience the perfect rejuvenation at those luxury spas and feel on top of the world.
